Hello my name is Nathan Gauger. I want to bring solutions to people within our community around The Villages, FL. I run Blue Heron Bookkeeping, a bookkeeping and accounting firm, which focuses on helping those who run businesses within our community. I want to give back time to owners so they can focus on their product. I also want to reduce costs to owners, making it more advantageous and easier to scale out the business. This, in turn, allows them to provide greater value to the community.

Blue Heron Bookkeeping was founded in May of 2021 and operates around The Villages, FL. Our company provides bookkeeping, accounting, advisory, and tax services to small businesses and The Villages residents. We also provide website building services along with website continuity services which are extremely important to the small business owners who currently operate in The Villages and surrounding areas. We will also offer payroll services along with networking services as customers’ needs increase. By providing these services under one roof, we allow small businesses to see us as a partner and also allow them to take full advantage of their most valuable resource, time.

Our team comes in with valuable experience. Leah Lewis, CPA, who leads the accounting and tax portions of our company comes from one of the largest accounting and consulting firms, KPMG. While at KPMG, she led audits of a Fortune 500 company and obtained Manager Title while at KPMG. Leah obtained her requirements for CPA from the University of Louisville and obtained CPA certification within Kentucky in 2018. Leah received her Bachelor Degrees from Western Kentucky University in Spanish and Elementary Education.

Nathan Gauger who leads our business accounting, website, and additional services offered comes from a wide variety of experience. Nathan obtained a Bachelor Degree from the University of Louisville in Accountancy and obtained his CPA from the State of Florida in 2021. Nathan ran a successful exterior painting company while in college and has since worked a variety of jobs. Upon graduation, Nathan joined MCM CPAs and Advisors in their audit department and moved on to one of the fastest growing technology companies in the nation. While working at the tech company, Nathan’s focus was on generating revenue through marketing and overall business health.
